Abstract

Religious activities in Bali always involve a temple as the location, one of which is the piodalan ceremony. The temple in the overall sense including the complex is a symbol of the universe in a horizontal form. Balinese people actually have a concept of balance known as Tri Hita Karana which consists of Parhyangan (human relationship with God), Pawongan (human relationship with fellow human beings), and Palemahan (human relationship with the environment). The formulation of the problem in this study includes: (1) How is the procession of the piodalan ceremony at Pura Luhur Pucak Bukit Sangkur? (2) How is the application of the Tri Hita Karana concept to the piodalan ceremony at Pura Luhur Pucak Bukit Sangkur? (3) What are the implications of applying the Tri Hita Karana concept at the piodalan ceremony at Pura Luhur Pucak Bukit Sangkur for the community, Kembang Merta Traditional Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency? The theory used in this study is Structural Functional Theory and Symbolic Interactionism Theory. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The techniques used in data collection are: literature, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show: (1) Form. The preparation stage includes: sangkep, ngayah. The implementation stage includes: mecaru, nangiang, mendak tirta, mesucian, piodalan, pemanaran. The final stage includes: nyineb, and maresik. (2) Application. The field of Parhyangan includes: the ethics of getting closer to God Almighty through yadnya, praying together, rejang dance. The Pawongan field includes: sangkep, and ngayah preparing for the piodalan ceremony. The Palemahan sector includes: mecaru, tree planting activities, and maresik. (3) Implications. The field of Parhyangan includes: increasing the sraddha and bhakti of the residents, increasing the self-control of the residents. The Pawongan field includes: increasing unity, increasing educational aspects. The Palemahan sector includes: the impact on environmental sustainability, the impact on agriculture for the people of Pakraman Kembang Merta Village
