ABSTRACT
Problems and prospects for religious education using an online system are a
necessity. This happened because the Smart Indonesia Program and 12 years of compulsory
education became a necessity in the midst of a threatening pandemic. Due to the threat of a
pandemic, a policy of religious education using an online system has been created. The
complexity of religious education using an online system experiences many obstacles and
problems. What and how did this problem arise at STAHN Mpu Kuturan, the aim of this
article is to be revealed. This research is field research. Data was taken from religious
education learning situations using an online system, which was carried out at STAHN Mpu
Kutuan Singaraja. Data were analyzed using interpretative descriptive analysis techniques.
The results of data analysis found: the biggest problem with the learning process using an
online system is the achievement of the goal of building student religiosity. Religiosity as one
of the goals of religious education is very difficult to achieve through online learning. It is
estimated that the lack of supervision that can be carried out by teachers in the learning
process using online systems is the cause. Avoiding learning using an online system is
absolutely impossible, it seems that the academic community, like it or not, like it or not, has
to carry out learning using an online system. Apart from pandemic reasons, the reason for
the availability of online facilities is the reason for implementing learning using an online
system.
