Weddings in the Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village are a local tradition

based on awig-awig. Although there is no literal mention of the system or type of marriage,

the emphasis is more on systematic endogamous marriage in the Tenganan Pegringsingan

Traditional Village. Marriage in general is not problematic or contrary to the principles of

marriage in general, but along with the progress of social civilization, this pattern is

increasingly being abandoned because it is contrary to the principles of human freedom and

mutual love. Endogamous marriage allows them to create trust and remain strong in social

life with a relatively high effectiveness ratio. The effectiveness of awig-awig which is the

background to the implementation of traditional marriages in the Tenganan Pegringsingan

Traditional Village is seen from its influence on social and religious resilience in the Bali

Aga context. The system in Tenganan Pegringsingan is carried out according to village

custom through literacy sources in the form of awig-awig, functionally and of course on the

basis of the marriage process.
