OPTIMALISASI KOMUNIKASI PUBLIK PEMERINTAH DESA BUBUNAN DALAM PENYAMPAIAN INFORMASI KEPADA MASYARAKAT MENGGUNAKAN WEBSITE

Public communication is defined as the exchange of messages with a number of people face-to-face or through media, one of which is through digital media in the form of a website that has a strategic function as a device that supports the running of government activities whose existence plays a role in relations with the community digitally. However, the Bubunan Village government in public communication using websites to convey information to the public is still not optimal, due to the lack of information such as village data, village institutions, village vision and mission, and the large number of people who are not yet aware of the village website. Based on the background above, this study discusses three problems, namely: (1) How to optimize public communication in the dissemination of information from the Bubunan Village Government using a website? (2) What are the obstacles that arise in the optimization of public communication in the dissemination of information from the Bubunan Village Government using a website? (3) What are the implications of optimizing public communication in the dissemination of information from the Bubunan Village Government using a website? The theories used in this study are diffusion and innovation theory, constraint theory, and social cognitive theory. The subject of this study is the Bubunan Village government. The method used to collect data is observation, interviews, and document studies. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive qualitative data analysis methods. The results of this study are the optimization of public communication of the Bubunan Village Government in using the website in this case seen from the consistency with the communication patterns that are run, so it can be seen whether there has been a good development of the public's response as the public. The obstacles that arise in the optimization of public communication are internal and external factors. The implications in disseminating information to the community using websites include the implications of building public trust in village websites, increasing digital literacy, transparency of village government activities, and increasing the image of Bubunan Village.
