Abstract

This study discusses the challenges of managing human resources (HR) in the development of a tourism village in Ambengan Village, Buleleng. The purpose of this research is to find out the human resource management challenges faced by tourism village managers, as well as the efforts made to overcome these challenges. This study used a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and literature review. The results showed that the tourism village managers in Ambengan Village faced various challenges in human resource management, such as the lack of qualified and trained human resources, the lack of mature human resource development planning, and the difficulty in finding human resources who were willing to work in the tourism village. Other challenges are influenced by the quality of services and budget in Efforts made to overcome these challenges These factors include training and skills development for existing human resources, cooperation with educational institutions to find a qualified workforce, as well as developing attractive incentive and promotion programs for human resources. This research contributes to the development of a tourist village by providing an overview of the challenges in HR management and the efforts that can be made to overcome them. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for tourism village managers and related parties in developing sustainable and successful tourism villages in human resource management.
