This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PBL) method in improving the learning outcomes of 10th-grade students on the topic of the History of Hinduism Development in Indonesia at SMA Negeri 1 Nusa Penida. This research uses a quasi-experimental design involving 68 students, consisting of 34 students in the experimental class who received PBL method instruction and 34 students in the control class who received conventional instruction. Data were collected through learning outcome tests conducted before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the instructional intervention. The analysis results showed that the average post-test score of students in the experimental class increased significantly compared to the pre-test score. The average post-test score in the experimental class was 83.97, while the control class was 80.15. The t-test showed that the t-value (2.259) was greater than the t-table value (1.995), thus rejecting the null hypothesis (H0) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (H1). This indicates a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students using the PBL method and those using conventional teaching methods. The conclusion of this study is that the PBL method is effective in improving student learning outcomes on the topic of the History of Hinduism Development in Indonesia. Therefore, it is recommended that this method be more widely implemented in the learning process to enhance student engagement and understanding
