Abstract

Religious education plays an important role in Hindu families, aiding in the internalization of religious values from an early age. This study aims to explore strategies for Hindu religious education within the family environment, emphasizing the role of parents as primary teachers. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with primary data sources including interviews with parents, Hindu religious teachers, and religious education experts, as well as participatory observation and related document analysis. The results show that parents have a crucial role in instilling moral and ethical values through example and daily practices such as prayer, reading scriptures, meditation, and yoga. Challenges faced include limited time and religious knowledge, but these can be addressed with solutions such as integrating religious education into daily activities, increasing knowledge through online resources, and maintaining consistency and commitment. In conclusion, the role of parents in Hindu religious education at home is vital for shaping the religious character of children, providing consistent religious education, a supportive environment, and effective communication
