IMPLEMENTASI TRI HITA KARANA PADA DESA WISATA PEMUTERAN KABUPATEN BULELENG

Abstract

The development of the global tourism industry, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia, presents interesting cases for research. In this context, Pemuteran Tourism Village in Buleleng Regency stands out as an intriguing example. This village possesses rich tourism potential but also faces challenges in its management. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana, a set of Hindu cultural values emphasizing harmony among humans, nature, and God, is expected to serve as a solution for sustainable tourism management. By integrating these principles, it is hoped that the management of Pemuteran Tourism Village can provide economic benefits to the local community while preserving the environment and local culture. This study aims to explore and analyze the application of Tri Hita Karana principles in the development of sustainable tourism in the village. The research employs a qualitative approach, allowing for an in-depth examination of the data. This study emphasizes the importance of ecological sustainability in managing natural resources and the environment, as well as the need for conservation to protect biodiversity. The findings reveal that the application of Tri Hita Karana enhances tourism appeal and provides socio-economic benefits to the local community, while maintaining a balance between utilization and environmental preservation. Thus, this research makes a significant contribution to the development of sustainable tourism based on local values and serves as a reference for other tourism village managers in applying similar principles.
