God in Hinduism has many names according to His function. Apart from the name of God in the Vedas, Hindus also have local names of God considering that Hinduism is universal. Sang Hyang Celeng is worshiped at Sang Hyang Celeng Temple in Menyali Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. Sang Hyang Celeng is manifested by local residents as Waraha Avatar. The purpose of this research is to determine the position of Sang Hyang Celeng in Vedic literature. This research is of a qualitative type, the research location is in Menyali Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency. Derrida's Deconstruction theory is used to construct local theology regarding the mention of the local God, Sang Hyang Celeng. The popularity of Waraha Avatara is found in the Kurma Purāna, Lingga Purāna, Bhagavata Purāna, Varaha Purāna, and Kakawin Bhomantaka. The story of the appearance of Waraha Avatara in the Bhagavata Purāna, Kurma Purāna, Waraha Purāna is in accordance with the depiction of Sang Hyang Celeng symbolized as the savior of the Earth who was drowned by a giant named Hiranyaksa.
