Ahimsa, or non-violence, in the context of the modern and global era. The discussion begins by exploring the philosophy of Ahimsa as understood and practiced by Mahatma Gandhi, which emphasizes the rejection of all forms of violence, both physical and non- physical, and upholds love and truth as the basis for action. Next, this article analyzes the relevance and application of Ahimsa principles in addressing contemporary issues such as armed conflict, social injustice, environmental degradation, and political polarization. Although it offers ethical and transformative solutions, the implementation of Ahimsa in the modern era also faces significant challenges, including the complexity of international relations, the influence of technology in spreading hatred and violence, and the temptation of pragmatism that often ignores moral values in achieving goals. This article aims to examine how the essence of Ahimsa can be adapted and applied effectively to promote peace and justice in a changing global landscape.
