PENGEMBANGAN ENSIKLOPEDIA KESENIAN BULELENG SEBAGAI MEDIA PEWARISAN SENI BERBASIS WEBSITE

Abstract

The performing arts ecosystem is always related to the socio-cultural dynamics of society. In the midst of these societal dynamics, the context of performing arts inheritance in Singaraja City is facing serious challenges. The problem of the dynamics of urban society is in conflict with the inheritance of performing arts (tradition), because the life of urban society tends to be related to the economy and industry (profit oriented). Meanwhile, the issue of inheritance of performing arts is related to efforts to preserve, develop and utilize the arts ecosystem in a non-profit oriented way that grows in communal communities. This article aims to find out the form of development (researchand development) of the North Bali arts ecosystem, one of which is in Singaraja City, as well as the  art objects that are the content of the encyclopedia. Apart from that, this research aims to find relevant media as learning media. This research is in the form of research and development (R&D) which focuses on a process for developing a product or/or improving a pre-existing one. Data was collected through product and field observations, interviewing sources related to research objects and previous research studies. The results of this research show that the Encyclopedia was developed using the waterfall model through the implementation of predetermined steps starting from analyzing problems and needs, building a product design, implementing the product design, conducting product trials with media experts and content experts. The media validation test was carried out by two media experts, where the data indicated a tendency that development could continue to fill Buleleng arts content. In this research it was also found that there was an important role for sekaa or village arts organizations (sekaa sebunan) in collecting and carrying out arts activities ( training and performances) in traditional, religious events and cultural festivals. Its development leads to the domination of art institutions (art studios and schools) which dominate the inheritance of performing arts in Singaraja City which has an impact on the unique aesthetics of North Bali becoming increasingly biased.
