MENYATUKAN KEARIFAN KUNO: KOLABORASI USADA BALI DAN AYURWEDA UNTUK KESEHATAN HOLISTIK

This study aims to explore the possibility of integrating two ancient traditional healing systems, Balinese Usada and Ayurveda, to develop a holistic health approach based on local and global wisdom. Balinese Usada, which developed within Balinese cultural traditions, and Ayurveda, a medicinal heritage from India, share a common view of health as a balance between body, mind, spirit, and the universe. Through a qualitative study with a descriptive-comparative approach, this study analyzes the similarities and differences in the philosophical principles, healing methods, herbal ingredients, and spiritual values embodied in both systems. The results indicate that there is strong scope for collaboration, particularly in the use of medicinal plants, energy-based healing techniques, and harmonious preventive and rehabilitative approaches. This collaboration has the potential to enrich the repertoire of traditional medicine and become an alternative in developing a sustainable and contextual health system. This research is expected to be the first step in developing an integrative model that combines local strengths and global heritage to more comprehensively address modern health challenges.
