NILAI PENDIDIKAN SINKRETISME PADA PURA PENYAGJAGAN DESA CATUR KINTAMANI

Abstract

Penyagjagan Temple of Catur Village Kintamani is a place of worship that combines Hindu and Confucian worship, reflecting the harmonization between different beliefs and cultures. This study used a qualitative phenomenological approach to explore the history, spiritual values, and practices of syncretism at the temple. The results show that the people of Catur Village understand and appreciate the religious values of both traditions, creating an attitude of tolerance and interfaith harmony. Syncretism in Penyagjagan Temple is a clear example of how adaptation and integration between different beliefs can create cultural harmony and diversity. The portrait of gotong royong in cleaning the temple shows the practice of tolerance and cross-ethnic cooperation that has become part of the life of the local community. In conclusion, Penyagjagan Temple is a symbol of harmony between beliefs and cultures, as well as an important foundation in multicultural education in Bali.
