Abstract

Tantra or what is known as tantrayana is one of the most well-known schools or schools of thought in Hinduism. This belief developed in the archipelago in ancient times but the influence of this teaching can still be felt today. Sakti is revered as the supreme deity by tantric adherents. Tantric adherents position women in a primary and noble position. Tantric followers have dedicated women as sacred to the main position in every religious ritual carried out. Women in the form of magic in tantra have two different aspects, namely the Santa or Saumya (calm) aspect and the krodha aspect which is adapted to the interests of the devotees. Through the gift of Sakti and accompanied by serious sadhana, the jivatman is able to achieve spiritual enlightenment, obtain the highest happiness, and become one with the Supreme Being. The principles of tantric teachings also greatly glorify the female figure as the embodiment of the divine mother or universal mother rather than the figure of the divine father, even the powerful figure who is spoken of as the divine mother has 38 goddesses and 2 gods who reside in her body, and each has its own meaning and symbol. The sacred figure as a mother makes devotees feel more comfortable opening their hearts, feel freer to the Divine Mother, feel more intimately expressing their feelings, crying, joyfully communicating with the gods as Mother, compared to when they show the gods as Father, because of this closeness, sacred believers You will feel more confident in expressing all your heart's content and become more serious in carrying out your worship and asking for His grace
