PERTUNJUKAN KECAK: KAJIAN PROSES ARTISTIK DAN REPRESENTASI MANUSIA UNGGUL

Abstract

The focus of this research is on an effort to assess the extent to which humans are said to be superior creatures both niskala and sekala. This study uses the dialectic of the niskala-sekala in the kecak performance. The results of this study show that the value of kecak performances can be one of the solutions to the case of fomo (fear of missing out) from today's generation of teenagers. The potential presented by the kecak performance is able to create a balance between the real world (sekala) and virtual (niskala). The potential of kecak art activities is the foundation in shaping and developing oneself into superior human beings, moreover supported by Balinese culture and customs as a weapon to strengthen human spirituality and creativity in constructing people's thoughts and behaviors.
