PERAN KELOMPOK SADAR WISATA (POKDARWIS) SEGARA GIRI SEBAGAI MOTOR PENGGERAK PARIWISATA BERKELANJUTAN DI DESA WISATA PEMUTERAN KECAMATAN GEROKGAK KABUPATEN BULELENG

Abstract

Tourism awareness groups Segara Giri is an example of an informal institution at the community level that is able to become a driving force in the implementation of sustainable tourism in one of the independent tourism villages in North Bali. For this reason the purpose of this study is to analyze the role of tourism awareness groups and analyze how implications of the tourism awareness groups program as a driving force on the implementation of sustainable tourism. The type of research applied is a type of qualitative research with a case studi approach and its application uses three theories, namely the theory of community work roles by Ife and Tesoriero (2014), the theory of alternative tourism paradigms by Weaver (2006) and the theory of forms of participation by Huraerah (2008). In determining informants carried out based on purposive sampling techniques and applying data collection methods by means of interviews, observations and document studies. The results show that tourism awareness groups Segara Giri shows its role in facilitating, educating, defending community interests and carrying out technical roles to develop tourism. The implications of the Pokdarwis Segara Giri program on the implementation of sustainable tourism are realized through preserving local customs and culture, involving local communities, maintaining environmental conditions and having a better socio-economic impact on the community by collaborating with other tourism stakeholders in Pemuteran Tourism Village. Thus, the role of Pokdarwis as one of the stakeholders in the development of tourism villages must be maximized to increase tourism benefits to local communities.
