Abstract

This project seeks to enhance the learning outcomes of Class VII Hinduism students at SMPN 2 Kubu during Semester I by implementing the STAD Type Cooperative learning approach in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) executed in two cycles. The research participants consisted of 11 seventh-grade students from SMPN 2 Kubu during the 2024/2025 academic year. The study employed test sheets for data collecting. The findings of this study utilizing the STAD learning model indicated that the mean score of the learning outcomes assessment was 77.24. Out of 7 students, 63.63% met the KKM target established by the school, which was set at 75. Conversely, 4 students, or 36.36%, fell below the KKM standard, resulting in 4 students not achieving a student absorption rate of 77, equivalent to 24%. In Cycle II, the average score of the learning outcomes test was 78.19, with a student absorption rate of 85.71%. Three kids, constituting 27.27%, are classified below the KKM threshold for Hindu Religious Education. The KKM for class IV is 75, with 8 individuals, or 85.71%, classified above the KKM in the academic discipline. This study concludes that the implementation of STAD Type Cooperative learning enhances the academic performance of Class VII students in Hindu Religious Education at SMPN 2 Kubu for the 2024/2025 academic year. Consequently, the researcher recommends that educators implement the STAD Type Cooperative Method in classroom instruction to enhance the quality of the learning process and outcomes.
