Abstract

The mudra parinata dance is a dance that is usually performed at the tawur senga ceremony in Ngadirenggo Village. This dance is usually performed at Wahya Widya Temple. The mudra parinata dance is classified as a semi-sacred dance, because this dance is usually performed in the middle area of the temple. Mudra parinata dance is used as a form of offering to God and his manifestations. The Mudra Parinata dance is performed at the Tawur Kesanga ceremony because the Tawur Kesanga ceremony is a ceremony that aims to balance the universe. This is in line with the mudra parinata dance performance which aims to balance the universe. However, many people do not know the Hindu theological concepts contained in the Mudra Parinata dance. From this, the problems that are taken into account in this research are: 1) The reason for performing the Mudra Parinata dance in the Tawur Kesanga ceremony. 2) Mudra parinata dance performance in the Tawur Kesanga ceremony. 3) The Hindu theological meaning of the mudra parinata dance.
