The Medungdung tradition in Nagasepaha Village, Buleleng, is part of the Tilem Kaulu ritual held a month before Nyepi as an expression of gratitude to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, involving a communal meal accompanied by the sound of the kulkul as a symbol of unity. Although meaningful, many participants lack understanding of its rituals, so this study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation to answer three questions: (1) the tradition is rooted in religious and social values passed down through generations to seek safety and harmony before Nyepi, (2) it is carried out collectively through food preparation, the sounding of the kulkul, and communal dining in a sacred atmosphere, and (3) it reflects the theological concept of Tri Hita Karana, emphasizing harmony between humans and God, among humans, and with nature, thus functioning as both a medium of togetherness and preservation of Balinese Hindu cultural-spiritual identity.
