Yoga is considered a map that guides the path of human life and is a means of achieving balance. Yoga comes from the ancient Sanskrit word yuj, which means union. Through yoga, one can gain a deeper understanding of the body, mind, soul and all aspects of the self and become closer to the Creator (thus increasing inner spirituality). Spirituality is a person's faith and belief in truth, holiness, and connectedness, as well as a sense of obedience to a power higher than oneself that drives, directs, and chooses various individual actions. Spirituality is a process or stage of human self-actualization that fosters various creativity, intuition, joy, love, peace, tolerance and meaning of life. Spirituality is awareness of oneself, one's origins, goals and destiny. Being spiritual means being more attached to things that are spiritual or psychological compared to things that are physical or material. Spirituality is not just about whether life is worth living, but also about why life is worth living. Yoga teachings can increase a person's spirituality because through yoga teachings we can get to know each other better. This article uses qualitative research. Qualitative research is descriptive research and tends to use written analysis. The results of this research show that yoga is very important as a means of increasing spirituality.
