ABSTRACT

In carrying out the Yajna for Hindus, especially in the Bebetin Traditional Village, whether carried out individually or in groups, it is always based on stable rules according to the Tradition or Dresta that applies in society. Talking about Dresta, especially in the Bebetin Traditional Village and in Bali in general, there are which comes from written sources and there are also unwritten ones, behavior which is based on written rules in the teachings of the Vedas and other holy books is called Dresta Literature. On the other hand, the rules that are followed are based on customs that are not sourced from holy books, which are commonly called "Dresta Customs or Traditions", namely customs in a certain place (Region). The aim and benefits of this research are to provide understanding and knowledge regarding the Nguliang Upright Ceremony, Research This method uses qualitative research methods using theories, namely Functional Symbol theory, Behavioristic theory, and Value theory. The techniques used to obtain data are observation, interviews, literature study and documentation and analyzed using data triangulation techniques so that valid and holistic conclusions are obtained. The results of the analysis from this research can be described as follows: The aims of maintaining the Nguliang Tegak tradition include, creating a religious Bebetin Village community, creating a harmonious Bebetin Village community. The form of the Nguliang Tegak Tradition is related to elements relating to, background, place and time, facilities and infrastructure, the parties involved during the Nguliang Upright Tradition procession. The ethnopedagogical values contained in the Nguliang Tegak Tradition are, the value of piety in the tradition, the value of togetherness and social solidarity and the value of preservation in the ceremonial tradition.
