Jangkang Dance is one of the sacred traditions that is still maintained by the people of Cempaga Village until now. The existence of this dance is closely related to the religious life of the community which is based on Hindu teachings. Jangkang Dance performances are held at the Umanis Kuningan shrine at the Village Temple as part of a series of religious ceremonies. Based on this background, the problems can be formulated as follows: (1) What is the basis for the Jangkang Dance in Cempaga Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency?, (2) What is the function of Jangkang Dance in Cempaga Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency?, (3) What is the meaning of Jangkang Dance performances for the people of Cempaga Village, Banjar District, Buleleng Regency?. The method used in this study is qualitative with data collection methods through observation methods, interview methods, library study methods, and documentation methods. The theoretical basis used in this study are: (1) Religious Theory, (2) Structural Functional Theory, and (3) Meaning Theory. The results obtained through this research include: (1) The basis of Jangkang dance performances are mythological, philosophical, and religious. (2) The functions of Jangkang dance performances are: religious, social, and cultural preservation. (3) The philosophical meanings contained in Jangkang dance performances are: aesthetic, ethical, and spiritual.
