EKSISTENSI PURA TANAH PUTIH DI DESA LEMUKIH KECAMATAN SAWAN KABUPATEN BULELENG

Abstract

Tanah Putih Temple is a place to connect with God. This temple can also be used as a nunas
treatment in the form of white soil. This white soil has been used as medicine from ancient
times to the present and has been carried out for generations by the people of Lemukih Village.
Based on this background, the following problems were formulated: 1) What is the shape of
Tanah Putih Temple in Lemukih Village? 2) What is the Function of Tanah Putih Temple in
Lemukih Village? 3) what are the implications of the existence of Tanah Putih Temple on the
people of Lemukih Village? The theories used by researchers in describing and analyzing
problems are: 1) Religious Theory 2) Structural Functionalism Theory. The subject of this
study was the people of Lemukih Village. The methods used to collect data are observation
methods, interview methods, literature methods and document methods. The collected data is
then analyzed until conclusion. The results show: 1) The shape of Tanah Putih Temple is a
temple that has a building structure consisting of three parts called tri mandala among them
(a). Nista Mandala (b) Madya Mandala (c) Utama Mandala 2) The functions of Tanah Putih
Temple include: religious functions, medicinal functions, purification functions, social
functions. 3) The implications contained in Tanah Putih Temple for the people of Lemukih
Village are: implications for the community's belief system, public health implications,
implications for forest protection or preservation and implications for the preservation of
tradition and culture.
