MEBAYUH OTON DALAM ASPEK ANYANGAKSARA DI BALI

Mebayuh oton is one of the important traditional ceremonies in Balinese life, especially in the context of birthday celebrations or otonan. This ceremony aims to ask for safety, health and blessings for the individual undergoing the ceremony. In its implementation, the Anyangaksara aspect has an important role which provides deep spiritual and symbolic meaning. Anyangaksara is a form of pronouncing sacred script which is believed to have magical and spiritual powers in Balinese tradition. This research aims to examine the role and meaning of Anyangaksara in the Mebayuh oton ceremony. The research method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, where data is collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with traditional and spiritual leaders, as well as analysis of related documents. The research results show that Anyangaksara is not only a ritualistic element, but also a spiritual communication medium that connects humans with divine power. The pronunciation of Anyangaksara in the Mebayuh oton ceremony is believed to be able to provide positive energy, protection and spiritual balance for individuals undergoing the ceremony.
