Local traditions in Balinese Hindu society constitute an important part of religious life that reflects the close relationship between religion and culture. This study aims to analyze local traditions as a manifestation of living Hindu theology in the daily life of Balinese society. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through the analysis of various scholarly sources related to Hindu theology, Balinese culture, lived religion, and local wisdom. The findings reveal that local traditions function not only as cultural heritage but also as a medium for the actualization of Hindu theological values in everyday life. Various customary rituals, religious symbols, and social practices such as ngayah, yadnya, melasti, and traditions of honoring nature demonstrate that religion lives through the cultural experiences of the community. Local traditions also play an important role in maintaining social solidarity, cultural identity, spiritual education, and ecological awareness within Balinese Hindu society. In the modern era, local traditions face challenges caused by globalization, cultural commodification, and changing lifestyles. Nevertheless, local traditions remain relevant as spiritual and cultural foundations that sustain the continuity of living Hindu theology in Balinese society. Therefore, local traditions can be understood as a form of lived religion, showing that religion exists not only in formal doctrines but also lives and develops within the cultural practices of society.
