Abstract

The ecological crisis in Bali demonstrates that sustainable development cannot rely solely on technocratic approaches, but requires a spiritual foundation as an ecological ethic. This study aims to analyze Vedic Theology as the basis for spiritual ecology, identify the challenges and opportunities faced by Balinese youth in integrating spiritual values into social movements, and formulate a model of social transformation toward a sustainable civilization. The research employs a qualitative approach in Buleleng Regency, with subjects including youth communities, Hindu students, and Hindu religious leaders. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, literature studies, and source triangulation, and subsequently analyzed thematically. The results show that revitalizing the values of Tri Hita Karana and Ṛta through the active involvement of youth can foster transformative ecological awareness through environmental conservation, social movements, and the strengthening of local cultural identity. The integration of Vedic Theology and spiritual ecology emerges as a crucial foundation for sustainable development in Bali.
