This study aims to describe the emergence of hands-on activity and its benefits in the learning process in grade III with simple fractions material. This study aimed to identify new concepts and designs that would facilitate independent learning through direct experience and ascertain the benefits of hands-on activity. The study was conducted at SD Negeri Balirejo, where grade III students were the research subjects. The data were collected through observation and documentation. The study's findings indicated that throughout the four meetings conducted in cycles I and II, the incorporation of hands-on activities became evident within the learning process. This was observed through implementing diverse student activities, including using active questioning techniques to explore information and direct engagement with the learning materials. This hands-on activity's benefits are facilitating students' critical, independent, and active thinking in the learning process.
