Nilai – Nilai Kepemimpinan Hindu Dalam Kekawin Niti Sastra

Abstract

Literature is born from an idea, then incubates, intertwines, and spills over into an idealized idea of human life. So, literature is essentially an ideology offered by writers. There, there are values to be instilled. Kakawin Niti Sastra, as a classic Hindu literary product, contains many ideologies about leadership, so it needs to be developed and disseminated among society. According to Kakawin Niti Sastra, ideal leadership can be seen from a leader's ability to apply positive psychological traits or traits with the Tri Kaya Parisudha indicator. This means that the ideal leader according to Kakawin Niti Sastra is a leader who is able to apply the concepts of good thinking (Manacika Parisudha), saying good things (Wacika Parisudha), and doing good things (Kayika Parisudha) in carrying out his obligations. The ideology behind Niti Sastra's leadership is based on the leadership ideology during the Majapahit Kingdom, namely Catur Kotamaning Nrpati, which is a system of ideas because it provides direction and purpose for the continuity of one's leadership. This ideology can be described into four parts, namely Jnana Wisesa Suddha, Kaprahitaning Praja, Kawiryan and Wibawa.
